À propos ASILS
A.S.I.L.S. (Associazione delle Scuole di Italiano come Lingua Seconda) is the most important association in the field of teaching Italian language to foreigners. The association was established in 1992 to ensure quality of teaching and services provided to students who want to learn Italian in Italy, and constantly monitors the level of member schools.
ASILS is the foremost association of its kind in Italy, bringing together a large number of Italian language schools in Italy who are proud to be inspected by independent certification agencies and to publish their statistical data. ASILS is a mark of quality and a privileged representative of public and private institutions in Italy and abroad.
The association brings together the main Italian language schools in Italy and has decided to share the ethical principles of the Association: professionalism and qualification of teachers, transparency of commercial policies towards clients, correctness in professional relations, rigour in choosing accommodation and helping students with any problems, compliance with the law in handling study visa issuing and renewal of permits to stay.
Conditions d'adhésion
ASILS member schools are required to adhere to strict didactic and professional requirements:
- Each school must have a permanent study center where Italian language courses are held
- All instructors must hold university degrees and have experience teaching Italian to foreigners
- Teachers must be chosen for their professional and personal skills
- Schools must guarantee correct employment procedures by application of a national contract
- The prospectus published by the schools must contain a detailed description of the courses and the various services offered
- Prices and contract conditions must be transparent and easy to consult, with no surprises
- Student hospitality service must be guaranteed by inspection of accommodation and families
- Schools must constantly support students in handling bureaucratic procedures for study visas and permits to stay
