QE does not directly handle complaints made by students regarding its member schools. Instead, the organization directs students to follow a three-tiered approach to resolving issues:

1. Direct Resolution with School: The complaint should first be addressed directly with the school in question, allowing the institution to resolve the issue through its internal complaint procedures.

1. Agency Mediation: If the issue is not resolved satisfactorily with the school, students are advised to contact the agency through which they booked their course, as these agencies often have established procedures for handling student complaints.

1. Accreditation Board Appeal: As a last resort, students can escalate their complaint to the local accreditation board that accredits the school. These regulatory bodies typically have formal complaint procedures and the authority to investigate and take action if necessary.

This approach reflects QE's role as a quality brand rather than a regulatory body. While QE selects schools based on quality criteria, the responsibility for addressing specific complaints remains with the individual schools, booking agencies, and official accreditation authorities in each country.
